Four men make a tradition of traveling every year in Main Mission. They have quite the adventure not only while traveling but also in their daily lives. We journey with them from their university days well into their midlife.

At the entry level of their career, our main characters decide to make their dreams come true. They name their annual adventures Man Mission and even create a charter for it. It is a men only adventure where they bike, hike, kayak, and even get to sail and climb ice. Meanwhile, they also get married, have kids and make various career choices. They get high, fall to the bottom and get back up again over these 15 years.

There are lots of positives about this book. At the top is the fact that it addresses societal issues like the expectations society has of a man. The expectations are passed down through generations which is how these characters learn them and try their best to live by them. Eytan Uliel uses this story to give us the male perspective of marriage, parenting and the midlife crisis. Considering men keep their feelings and thoughts to themselves, this serves as the voice for that.

True friendship is advocated for too. These guys despite their different perspectives and opinions stay friends. This reminds us that being different doesn't mean we can't be friends. I love that Eytan is realistic with his timing in showing that women are not exempt to facing challenges. Rather than showing this at the early stages, he presents it when the characters get around to realize it.

I have nothing negative to say about the book. I loved how easily the story flowed with smooth transitions in time and place. The tone was one that acknowledged the events that occured; without regret as most "feminists" would expect. It is one that emphasizes that things will be okay in the end no matter what is currently going on.

The book is professionally edited and I did not spot any typos or grammar errors. For that and the above reasons, I rate the book 4 out of 4. I really loved reading it. I couldn't wait to get to the next destination.

People that enjoy stories spiced with adventure will love this book. It is also a book that can be gifted to that friend or someone close that is going through a low moment to assure them that all will be well with time.
