Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a novel that recounts the stories of challenging and exciting adventures undertaken by a group of four friends. The book started with the decision made by the main character and his friend Sam to fulfil a dream they had in college, the idea to go on a long-week annual vacation to exotic locations, thus they decided to make a first trip to New Zealand, and even though it was an unplanned adventure and ended by the protagonist getting injured, it didn't hinder them to seek another adventure the next year. Their friends Daniel and Alec decided to join them later on, so for fifteen years they kept this tradition, they visited various locations in different continents enjoying hiking, biking, kayaking and basking in the most beautiful places around the world. In parallel with the description of their adventures, the author recounts the personnel story of the protagonists especially the main character, his marriage, the birth of his children and his divorce, he highlighted the obstacles that the protagonist faced following the financial crisis that pushed him to change his job after the bankruptcy of the firm he was working in, and how these problems affected his marriage and his life in general. The writer mainly focuses his interest on the marriage experience of the main character and his struggle to deal and face his problems and therefore to find peace and happiness.
Albeit the trips were kind of a getaway for the protagonists, a way to escape from the realities of daily life, but it was also a sanctuary where they can reflect on what is happening in their lives and a refuge where they can hide to see the whole picture. It helps them to understand that being a man is not by experiencing physical exertion or dealing with the harsh conditions of nature but to understand and learn how to take full responsibility of their lives, facing their problems and moving forward even if it's hard and painful as the author has stipulated.

The author alternated his narrative between the description of the adventures and the struggles facing the protagonists in their personal life, especially the main character, which made the book very interesting and entertaining.
I really appreciate that the book provides the readers detailed description of beautiful sceneries of remote places in different continents, pushing them to use their imagination and fancy those places and feel like they are living those experiences not just reading it.
The book contains a lot of funny conversations between the characters which made me laugh all the time, also it includes several parts treating the complexity of relationships where the author has succeeded to convey the strong and overwhelming emotions felt by the protagonists.

I couldn't find anything to criticize in the book, it is exceptionally well edited since I found no error, therefore I rate it 4 out of 4 stars.

This book will appeal principally to the people who like reading adventure novels, it offers a full and precise depiction of several spots of wilderness that will spur their curiosity and captivate their attention.
