Review of Lead : How Women In Charge Claim Their Authority
In the book Lead: How Women In Charge Claim Their Authority, Ellen M. Snee EdD used her experience as a career and women consultant to teach women how to gain authority and get into leadership positions in their different fields of endeavour. She tried to change the narrative that leadership is an unachievable feat for women. Ellen M. Snee EdD, having worked as a nun for eighteen years, enumerated skills that prove that women can lead effectively in any organization. She incorporated the necessary information and workable steps to achieve maximum success in leadership. The author was basically about schooling and training women all over the world to gain relevance and become notable figures no matter the background they come from. As a psychologist, Ellen M. Snee EdD also wrote about mental health issues and solutions to growing the mind to be successful.
There are good and quality highlights in this book. Through her years of experience, Ellen M. Snee EdD did an in-depth explanation of the natural woman and what her thought process typically is, thereby correcting the flawed mindset that has been embedded in women over the years. I loved that each chapter of the book ended with a workshop that ensured the reader understood the contents thoroughly and undertook the training provided by the book. Each chapter was divided into subsections to thoroughly explain the critical factors in the book, making the entire work a lot more comprehensible. I also loved that the book was majorly about self-motivation and self-development for women, and it taught them to rise above limitations. The arrangement of the book in parts, with each part discussing different issues that are geared towards a holistic character development for women to better position them to have the proper authority, made the book more fascinating. More so, Lead: How Women In Charge Claim Their Authority by Ellen M. Snee EdD contained real-life stories that helped create a familiar experience and increased my interest in studying the book further.
I could not dislike any part of the book because I learnt a lot from its pages. I developed insight into some hidden traits in women. The book will develop and change the mindset of women to be better helps to others, including their male counterparts. References were also given in the book for continued reading and training.
I will give Lead: How Women In Charge Claim Their Authority by Ellen M. Snee EdD a four out of four stars rating because the book was such a great, enlightening, and educating read. I found no errors in the book, and I loved that it was strictly for the general interest of women seeking to understand how women in charge claim their authority. The book was exceptionally well edited.
I recommend this book to women who wish to step up their game and gain expertise in their chosen career path. Males who may want to develop or coach the women in their lives will find the book to be a beneficial resource.
