Review of Man Mission
Fill your life with experiences, not things. Have stories to tell, not things to show. Man Mission by Eytan Uliel gave an insight into how life should be rather than the everyday activities we do as we grow up. Man Mission is a book showcasing the lives of four Australian guys and their experiences as they explore the world.
Sonny, the protagonist in the story, narrates his experiences with his three friends, Alec, Sam, and Daniel. Sonny meets Sam at law school, where he shares his fantasies about going on an annual vacation to a different exotic location. After three years, a yearly trip started with just Sam and Sonny. Alec and Daniel joined them later on. Starting from Harper’s pass in New Zealand to the Otter trail and Kruger National Park in South Africa to the Inca trail in Peru, the four young men explored. The annual vacation stood as a chance to escape from career stress, marriage issues, and emotional distress. Does life give them what they want? How were they able to face those life problems later on? Find out more as this book takes you places you never expected.
Man Mission is a 362-page book focusing on family, relationships, marriage, career, and adventure. The book is divided into three parts, narrating their experiences at the beginning, middle, and end.
The fact that I could picture the story in my head as a movie made me love this book. My favourite section in the book was the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Peru Adventures. I enjoyed reading the part where the guys had to go through the Dead Woman’s Pass to continue their journey. The author unleashed my imaginative mind, which made me engrossed in the book to know how each mission ended and how the next one would start. The author did a great job sustaining the first-person narration to the end. The book revealed a lot of tourist attractions that were unknown to me. Man Mission is an intriguing book which shows the physical and emotional sides of four young men as they venture into making the Man Mission a successful thing to remember.
There was nothing to dislike in this book. I enjoyed the free flow of reading I experienced as the book contained no errors. For all the positive reasons mentioned, the book was exceptionally well-edited. Therefore, I rate this book four out of four stars.
I would recommend this book to lovers of adventure and tourism. The book is suitable for all readers, young and old.
