Do you sometimes want to leave everything behind, including your career and other commitments, and go on an adventure? I know I do. We live in cubicles at work, relatively small rooms at home, and even when having fun, we are often still in rooms. This book reminds us that there is a vast world waiting for us to explore.

In Man Mission, author Eytan Uliel narrates an adventure of the author and his friends Sam, Alec, and Daniel over fifteen years. The friends traverse different continents from Asia to Africa to South America and finally to Europe. The author and Sam kick off their adventure young and green on Harper's Island in New Zealand, and by the time the friends have their final trip to Iceland, they are now somewhat experienced and seasoned travelers. Overall, it is a tale of friendship, love, growth, and man's innate spirit for adventure.

What I loved most about the book was the author's narration style. He expertly moves from present events occurring in the book to past events that provide context and add to the general depth of the story. The author does this without jeopardizing the excellent flow of the story. The characterization and character development, especially of the other characters, excluding the protagonist, are top-notch. Their stories, struggles and the ways they make their decisions are relatable to the average reader. I would definitely see myself reading a book about Sam or Alec.

The author also uses descriptions that are so picturesque. The reader can feel the ongoing events in the book, and they can flow with them as they relate. There is also an air of surrealism maintained within the book that ultimately adds to the story's complexity. For example, interactions with indigenous tribes feel like something out of a fiction novel. I enjoyed the author's use of humor, especially during tense encounters. The book is also written in simple and easily comprehensible language. The reader can read and understand this language easily.

This book is truly one of those you wish you would forget so that you could read it again. It is brilliantly written and professionally edited. I did not find anything negative in the book after reading it. I would therefore give it a perfect rating of 4 out of 4.

The book stands out among the many adventure books I have personally read. I would recommend it to all those who desire to travel the world. Exploration and adventure beckon for anyone interested in connecting with the world.

Everyone deserves to forget their responsibilities once in a while. I’m glad that they are able to keep up their traveling even after wives and children.

A book with such a book narrative is interesting to read because you Get to know both past and present events
