Review of Man Mission
Many teenagers growing up do think of doing crazy things in the future with their friends as they get older, but do they later achieve such a dream? Alternatively, imagine embarking on a trip each year to a foreign location with your friends. Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a fiction story that presents the lives of four friends who went on adventures for over fifteen years in different countries. These four friends went through all the typical ups and downs of life, from graduation, employment, marriage, and family to divorce, injuries, and joblessness.
The narrator brought up the idea of exploring different countries and destinations. But later, he became uninterested. He shared the idea first with Sam, a friend whom he wasn't that much closer to in law school. They talked and laughed about it back then. Sam loved the idea and actually made the dreams become a reality later. They both embarked on their first trip to New Zealand. It was quite frightening for them, but it was enjoyable. The narrator and Sam later asked Alec and Daniel to join them on the vacation, and they both agreed. The trip turned out to be tragic, dangerous, and doubtful. Did they achieve their soul's dreams? What was their main purpose for living this adventurous dream? What did they encounter when traveling? Grab a copy of this book to find out what happened.
I have not actually read a fiction book like this. The book really motivates me to want to do things I never thought I would do. The one thing I liked about this book was not only the friendship but the bond that grew between these friends. It makes me think I should try something like this with my close friends later in the future. This book shows there are many benefits of embarking on adventurous trips with your close friends as it rejuvenates your soul, increases your self-awareness, makes you gain a sense of accomplishment, forges new friendships and exposes you to new cultures and languages. I felt a connection with the author, aiming to achieve new experiences and escape the daily routine, even if just once a year. I found it amazing and heartwarming that these four friends managed to keep up to their promise and find time for their trips, which happened to be a way to bond and share life’s struggles, insecurities, and doubts, all combined with funny encounters and events. The memories made by these four friends in the book inspired me to try something similar in the future.
There was absolutely nothing wrong I could find with this book. The only thing I disliked about the book was that the format and the pages of the book weren't arranged well for using the OBC reader. Apart from that, I still finished the book because it was really interesting. I hope the hard copy of the book will be free from such issues.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I found no errors in the book. This shows that it was exceptionally well-edited. I recommend this book to friends, voyagers, and people who love adventure stories. Readers who are sensitive to profanity should avoid this book.
