This book's title says it all. Eytan Uliel's Man Mission is a fascinating tale that expertly portrays one man's journey through life's highs and lows. Over 15 years, the author embarks on annual road excursions to exotic destinations with his three best friends. Because of their friendship and passion for travel, these men agreed to travel to one country each year while still in college. They dubbed it their primary mission, and it became an annual ritual that they continued for 15 years. These four young men were transported worldwide, from Europe and America to Japan and Southeast Asia. Throughout their experiences, they will share their laughter and tears, their ups and downs, and the numerous problems they will face in their own lives. This action-packed novel is unforgettable by adjoining daily living with the mistakes and lessons that these men gather on their journey.

This book begins with just the right amount of adrenaline and ends with just the right amount of humor. I assumed it would be a light read with comedic overtones when I first started reading the book, but it turned out to be this. I loved the author's honesty in describing his character at various periods of his life. It was refreshing to read about his struggles and self-reflections with such openness. His ability to depict his and his friends' lives in such an unfiltered manner makes this piece relevant and accurate. This narrative takes you on a journey and attempts to describe the intricacies of an adult male's thinking. We witness their lives as they live, love, grow and learn. The men's travels are as absurd as they are fascinating. It was thrilling to accompany them on their various adventures. They trek to New Zealand, sail through Thailand, and ice climb in Iceland. They often have no idea what to anticipate when they go on these travels, yet they face each difficulty head-on, remaining together through it all.

Some parts of the tale that appeared hurried and underdeveloped were my minor favorite aspect of this book. The book's overall length may have contributed to this, but I wouldn't have been disturbed if the book had been longer. Otherwise, I had no reservations.

In the end, I would give this book a 4 out of 4 stars. It captivated me. It allowed me to see and comprehend men's challenges and what it takes to be a male in today's world. I also discovered no errors while reading, indicating that it was well edited.

I would suggest this book to both young adults and adults. This book may be of interest to travelers and explorers as well. This novel is not intended for younger readers, as there are instances of strong profanity and sexual themes. With the novel's action, comedy, and honesty, I would say that this story will both entertain and educate you!
