Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is an adventure story with a bittersweet peek into the personal life affairs undertaken by four young men over the course of fifteen years. The four friends, who are still in college and set to enter the "real world," will get together to travel to one country per year. They're starting their own lives, and they're showing all the characteristics of a young man in his early twenties, full of hope and arrogance. Their first mission began with the narrator and Sam hiking in New Zealand, seemingly on the spur of the moment due to a deal the narrator and his friend made during their undergraduate years. Daniel, who is more of a sensible person, follows them and becomes a key part of the mission. Alec, one of the three pals, later joined them. Alec had decided to join after the men had gone on a few exciting adventures. The four men embark on absurd and incredible journeys. They are completely unprepared to undertake activities such as difficult treks in New Zealand and sailing in Thailand, but their determination and the scenery surrounding them are absolutely breathtaking! Some of the countries these friends traverse include South Korea, South Africa, Fiji, Iceland, Vietnam, Spain, etc. They get jobs, marry, have children, and go through their own challenges during the next fifteen years. But, obstacles awaited all four men. Will these obstacles prevent them from travelling? Will they be able to deal with these challenges in the same way that they did on the mission?

The story follows the four friends as they go through changes in their lives. From graduation, work, marriage, and families to divorce, injuries, joblessness, and anguish, the characters experience all of life's ordinary joys and trials. The pressures that society places on males can be oppressive and overpowering, and this book explores the stigma that surrounds masculine emotions. It was an intriguing look into a man’s perspective on life. Adulting isn't what they expected, and they're struggling to find a work-life balance. We see them grow from dashing young guys filled with testosterone to middle-aged men with families who appear to be far too out of shape to be travelling.

The book is divided into 15 chapters, each one dedicated to a different year of travel. Despite the fact that the book was short and at a normal pace for me, I read it in one sitting with a cup of tea. The characters were all quite realistic, coping with their own adulting issues. As their journey becomes more intense, the men begin to disclose more of their personal views to one another. We realise that these successful men are not without their problems. It is a tale about coming of age.

I like how the author incorporates humour into the plot to provide some comic relief. There were numerous humorous moments during the trips. Each country they visited provided me with an overview of the country's many activities. I liked how the author didn't sugarcoat their adventures in the narrative, which made them feel very real to me. The book's focus was not just on the missions; the author also included details about their daily lives, with a segment of each chapter devoted to their families and jobs. To be honest, the book's opening dialogue successfully captured my attention, and it will do the same for other readers as well. I am certain of it! It was wonderful to see them realise their dream and create unforgettable experiences. I'd want to recount all of the amazing things that happened in this book, but you wouldn't want me to give any spoilers now, would you?

This book did not disappoint me in any way. However, this book contains a significant amount of profanity as well as a few scenes of sexual nature that may offend some readers, so keep that in mind. Overall, I had a great time reading this exciting adventure novel with a brilliant plot. I have nothing but praise for the author!

Therefore, I am very happy to rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book was professionally well-edited. While reading it, I found no errors. The character growth and scene development were both excellent. This is a novel I would gladly read again!

This book is made for you if you enjoy adventure, travel, and friendship all at once! The story is equally intriguing for men and women, so I recommend it to young adults and everyone else.
