Review of Man Mission
While growing up, we all had our own different fantasies. Some people turned their fantasies into reality, while others kept dreaming. Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a story about friends who turned their high school fantasies into reality and the adventures that ensued.
We all have that one friend who we never liked at first, but when we gave them a chance, they turned into our best pals. Sonny was hesitant to befriend Sam at first, but after a successful food raid with him at the food fair, the two became friends. He also went on to tell Sam how he wanted to travel to many countries, eating different kinds of foods, and Sam loved the idea. Many years passed before Sam called Sonny and told him it was time to go on this trip they had fantasized about in college. At first, he was reluctant, but he didn't want to be a killjoy and this pushed him to go on this trip. Their first trip was to New Zealand, where they had so much to do even after he got injured. When they told their friends Daniel and Alec how their trip turned out, they both decided to join them, and they made this a yearly ritual, visiting so many countries with different adventures, even those that seemed life-threatening.
There are books that give you goosebumps. I must tell you that this book is one of those books. I couldn't leave my seat when I began reading this book. I must commend the author. This book shows how adept she is at writing. While reading this book, I laughed, felt nervous, and also learned a lot from these characters. I fell off my seat when Sonny picked up a can of beans to fight what he felt would be a threat to his life. I found it very strange yet unique that the name of the narrator of this great story was only mentioned once in this book.
For a book this perfect, there was hardly anything to dislike. I must say, after reading this book, I now have this urge to travel the world with my friends and do amazing things. The author kept her vocabulary very simple, and I appreciate that. In addition, these characters were well developed. I love it when stories are realistic like this. The book also talked about self-development and good friendships. The protagonists in this book showed resilience.
I don't see any reason not to rate it 4 out of 4 stars. There weren't any errors in this book; I must say that the editing was exceptional. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves reading books about adventures.
