Review of Man Mission
Man mission by Eytan Uliel is a story of the adventure, ambition, grief, and happiness of four best friends who chose to cast off the realities of daily life by taking a few days every year to travel somewhere far away from their home to do something challenging and bodily. They would repeat this cycle for fifteen years. Even at the difficult time of their lives, they would travel to different countries and engage in strenuous activities like hiking, cycling, kayaking, and paddling. They live rough, sustain injuries, meet different kinds of people, and even get to see a roaring lion on one of their adventures.
In this book, the writer explained what it meant to be a real man, although the four young men lived a happy life, fulfilled ambition, and built and maintained a happy home. As men, they also went through some incredible things that happened over the years; grief, depression, loneliness, temptation, marriage problems, and a broken marriage, which conveys the fall of a real man in the story.
From the first to the last chapter of this book is fascinating. I admire how the author narrates in detail the fifteen years of adventure experience in each chapter of the book; it made me enjoy the book. All the man mission adventure stories were exciting, and I had a great experience reading them. Every character's role in the story is also admirable, and I liked how the four young men loved and supported each other and the love, care, and sacrifices they made for their families. Alec is the character I love most; his role was used as comic relief in some instances in the story.
Apart from the excitement I got from reading this book, in some way I learned what it means to be a man. I commend the writer for his choice of words, and I also appreciate how the writer stated vital statistics at the end of each chapter in the book. I love every aspect of this book, even the suspense and the end part of the book were interesting. I did not dislike anything about this book.
Everything about this book is interesting, and I had a great time reading it. The book may contain profanity and sexual content, but it is adequately edited, and I found no errors. Therefore, I will rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars.
This book teaches how to live like a real man. For this reason, I will recommend this book to every young man and lover of adventure stories.
