Friendship is built on trust and loyalty, but what happens when it becomes a competition between friends. Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a book that explores the themes of friendship, marriage, and adventure.

The book does not use the traditional title of chapters, but it is divided into three parts, each having five subdivisions. It shares the experiences of four friends and their journey into the wild. It delves into their transition from young boys to manhood. They embarked on an annual adventure called 'Man Mission,' which was born one Saturday morning when a boys' trip was planned. They encounter several trials and tribulations along the way that challenges everything they had come to know. Discoveries are also made alongside and are made to question their true selves. Decision-making plays a vital role in shaping the future of these individuals. What happens when things do not go as planned for this team? What adventure awaits them as they face life issues? Read this book to find out.

The narrator of the book is not made known by the author. This presents a sense of intrigue in the reader's mind and allows them to use their imagination adequately. This heightens the reader's reading process and involves them in the plot development. The author communicates his intended message clearly, and the characters are professionally developed. I am motivated to rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because it takes cognizance of vital life affairs and ways to tackle them. Several quotes were included in the book, but my favorite one is by Theophrastus, who says, "Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend." What this quote means to me is that time is meant to be valued and used wisely.

The vital statistics for each mission included at the end of every adventure helped give the reader an overview of the team's adventure. For instance, the essential statistics for their seventh adventure show that one of the injuries sustained was grief. This is one of the things I admire about this book. My favorite character is Alec because he defied all odds. He proved his friends wrong by becoming a man they never imagined. His wisdom in learning from the mistake of his friends was brilliant. My favorite scene in the book was when the team stuck together to see the northern lights while in Iceland because the narrator wanted to see it. This took the idea of friendship up a whole notch and showed the sacrifice it entails.

The book is professionally edited because I found a few grammatical errors that did not hinder my reading process. Aside from this, I found nothing to dislike about this book. The author's writing style was incredible.

I recommend this book to lovers of adventure. Readers will understand the sacrifices needed to establish a strong and true friendship.
