Four men embark on treacherous journeys to breathtaking landscapes, ancient geographical sights, and metropolitan buzzing cities and do outdoor activities like kayaking, trekking, and biking every year. Eytan, Sam, Daniel, and Alec followed this as yearly outdoor rituals and named this as Man Mission. In the meantime, they find jobs, get married, had children, and lived a normal life like others until they board the plane to hit the Man mission world.

Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is the story of four men who travel around the world and navigate their life through various obstacles. After completing their university studies they parted ways. But they had their common ideas to travel the world, and do outdoor activities and they wanted to live like a real man. Eytan and Sam started this ritual and went trekking in New Zealand later Daniel and Alec joined them and this became their annual ritual. This book comprises over 15 man missions that include cycling from japan to Niigata, river kayaking in Australia, biking from Busan to Seoul, and safari in South Africa. Eytan got married and landed a job as a banker, Sam as always remained in the law firm, Daniel as a Banker too, and Alec after switching to multiple jobs and girlfriends finally settled in an advertising agency. They all married men and travelled the world but each had their own thick and thin. Their relationship had difficulties, their company went bankrupt, one lost his father, one lost his own business and lover, and one had to separate from his loved one. They found themselves in a dilemma but eventually, they progressed stronger as they could.

This book is amazing, hilarious and thought-provoking at the same time. It showed many realities and life-teaching lessons. Right from the start, the book is intriguing and in each place they encounter, the author expresses nature and its sceneries in more detail which is amazing. The story switches from present to flashbacks and the author pulls it brilliantly. It's not boring at all, switching between flashbacks adds spice to the book. Each journey starts with a valuable quote and you will find a map at the beginning which is my favourite part of this book. At the end of each journey, the author includes vitality statistics that are one of a kind.

The 15 Man Missions in one book seemed too much for me. Because sometimes I felt reluctant to continue further. But since the author penned this book in a more practical one I believe this is necessary. Eytan and Rachel not getting back together are a bit disappointing for me, even though Eytan is happy at the end. Rachel is one of my favourite characters, to begin with. Pamela is my favourite out there. She is outgoing and I’m always rooting for Daniel-Pamela couples.

I would rate this novel a solid 4 out of 4 stars. Because Why not? this one deserves it. I loved how this story is different from other travel books I read. I loved how the book shows maps before each chapter before the adventure starts and how the author left a small synopsis at the beginning for us to get intrigued. This book is for those who love travelling and I recommend this book to everyone. There is no violence and religious content. You may encounter some things like adulterers but overall this book is one of a kind.
