Review of Man Mission
The author, Eytan Uliel, and his friends Sam, Alec, and Daniel are the protagonists of the novel Man Mission. It is narrated across fifteen years, with one incredible trip each year. While they were in college, they were exposed to this culture. From a time when the characters were in school to marriage, family life, and even divorce, the volumes provide a peek at their progress. As part of the "man mission," they visited locations like New Zealand, Fiji, South Africa, and Hawaii. They participated in events for which they even established a committee and a man mission charter. They are able to talk openly about their struggles with their jobs and even parenting their children thanks to the excursions. They provided one another with advice, thus solidifying their friendship. Eytan goes through a significant change as he tries to define himself.
The author's writing style was enthralling. His explanation of the trip was extraordinary. The book provides a detailed narrative, and as I read it, I found myself seeing each incident as it was described. I had the distinct impression that I was their fifth traveling companion. Thanks to Eytan, the places they went are now unquestionably in my dreams. He organized his writing so that it was difficult to get lost while reading. Each chapter represents an annual objective they pursued, making it simple for any reader to pay close attention to and stay on track. The book was genuinely engaging and stimulating.
The book's use of vulgar language was the only issue I had with it. The author aspires to write in a more compelling and real way. As a result of his accurate and true expressions, his intense emotions are clearly visible. That made me a little uneasy, even though I was enjoying the fast-paced flow of events.
I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. The book was incredibly well-written, with excellent editing, and it was easy to read. I didn't notice any grammatical errors when reading. The author knew what was needed of him to pique the readers' interest.
I would recommend this book to young adults who are transitioning to adulthood. I believe the author successfully conveys what masculinity and manhood should be like. Men in society are supposed to act in a certain way, but in reality, they also deserve to treat themselves to a vacation like most modern women do.
