Eytan Uliel's Man Mission is a story about the adventures of four friends, annually they were keen on making researches on the places to go and making plans to achieve this feat, as well as the time they would spend during these adventures. The plans were originally coined by two of them, then two others joined subsequently.

Some of the activities they were involved in during these adventures were kayaking, trekking, hiking, ice climbing, cycling among others.
Asides their annual adventures, they all had their lifestyles, this made me realize that even though everything looks perfect to the naked eye, it might not be the case on the inside. Things are not always as they seem.

Eytan, the narrator was soft, a thinker and he had a lot going on, Sam, the co-founder of Man Mission seemed stable, but he also had reasons to freak out, Daniel, the most organized and seemingly perfect one among them turned out to be not so perfect, Alec, the one that seemed like the one without focus among the group turned out to be the envied one. To understand what I just summarized, you would have to read Man Mission

The story is very humorous and lots of lessons can be learnt from it, an important lesson I took note of is, one wrong decision in life can go a long way in ruining everything you have ever worked for, therefore, it is very important to think about your choices and their consequences before making them. I also learned that telling your loved ones you love them is the secret to a happy life. Asides the life lessons, I also learned that Bula in Fiji meant a lot of things, it could mean hello, welcome, nice to meet you, or even cheers amongst many others.
The themes I deduced from the story are friendship, responsibility, relationship, love, failures, family, adventures etc.

I loved everything about the book, starting from how each chapter was introduced, to how the book was arranged. The character development was very interesting, it made me feel like I knew each character on a personal level, and I could connect to how they felt when they faced challenges. Most of all, I admired their determination, because convincing their wives to let them travel each year was not easy for them, but they persisted and somehow, they traveled annually for 15 years in a row.

I had no reason to dislike the book, Eytan did an excellent job. The book was well edited, although I noted two topographic errors, every other thing was in place. I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars the topographic errors did not take anything away from the content of the story, it deserves all points.

I recommend this book to people who love adventures and good books. I also feel that due to the level of profanity it contains, the book should be read by mature minds only.
