Review of Man Mission
Eytan Uliel started a tradition of adventure with his friend Sam. Soon after, Daniel and Alec joined their group. For 15 years, once a year, they organized themselves to go to a different place in the world for a sporting adventure. In this way, they traveled to places like Australia, Taiwan, Peru, and others. They practiced activities such as cycling or mountaineering. Man Mission is the name of this annual challenge, but this story is not only about exciting challenges and male rituals. It also narrates the conflicts of everyday life and the family pressure that men have as responsible figures. Eytan Uriel gradually introduces details of the protagonists' lives, and we can see how, over the years, they mature and change their lives.
Man Mission is a perfect combination of adventure and life situations. The story presents us the happy moments within personal achievements and challenges and makes us regret situations difficult such as divorce. The narration feels as if you were a friend, and the author reminisces about those adventures. Man Mission demonstrates how fun and pleasant life can be despite the hard times to overcome. And this realism is an important touch that I appreciate.
Unfortunately, this story has a lot of profanity in it. I think the idea is to give naturalness to the story. But in some moments, I felt it was excessive. However, that is not something that devalues the narrative because the editing has perfect quality. The author put a lot of attention to detail in terms of formatting. Also, everything is very well-organized and reviewed. I clarify that this book has sexual content that could be inappropriate to some readers. It is not bad either because it fits perfectly with the plot, and it is necessary to know some details of situations in the story. The characteristics I mention are not bad, but they do not allow me to recommend Man Mission to all audiences.
For its extraordinary narrative and knowing how to handle such a complex story with an excellent structure, I give Man Mission a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. This story is marvelous because it knows how to adequately narrate the passage of time without losing its freshness and enthusiasm. The four friends have their situations, and we get to know them perfectly. That's why I found Man Mission to be a perfectly balanced story.
I recommend Man Mission to an adult audience. Its topics are serious at heart, but the author has a very entertaining sense of humor and knows how to handle irony appropriately. As a result, the story is pleasant and feels like a story between friends. The topics are good, and although it has a male perspective, women will enjoy them very much. Also, if you like adventure and tales of faraway lands with a fabulous touch of realism, this story is for you.
