Review of Man Mission
Man Mission is a book that takes readers on a journey around the world. Every year, four friends plan a getaway to the most exotic and remote locations in the world, seeking the greatest adventures. For fifteen years, they plan trips together to different locations; they include hiking, cycling, kayaking, swimming, and ice wall climbing as part of their activities. Meeting new people and having new experiences are not left out. They eat local foods, celebrate with locals, visit ancient cities, and more.
Creating memories helped these friends get away from the burdening issues of their daily lives. It was interesting to see how going on adventures allowed them to feel alive like kids for a few days. This was a relatable experience, and I enjoyed reading about it. However, the adventures were not without their hitches. Frustration, anger, injuries, and defeat were part of the adventures, but they helped to create lasting memories and made every new mission worth looking forward to. The annual mission was a dream come true and a luxury few could ever get to experience. This made me realize how little the things that save us from ourselves are. To some others, it was just an adventure, but these four friends cherished the moments they spent together.
I also got a glimpse into the normal lives of these men. Having to balance work, family duties, unhappiness, unfulfillment, and marital struggles was a stressful job. There are details of cheating, divorce, therapy, death, and other painful experiences. The detailing of these events added more color to this book. I got to see the imperfect parts of their lives and how they were able to overcome every obstacle thrown their way. This is a wonderful masterpiece by Eytan Uliel. The author's ability to immerse readers in these adventures is commendable.
I couldn’t stop reading this book from the moment I started it. It captured every aspect of what a great book should be. I was taken on an adventure with these men and could visualize every activity, feel the emotions, and be part of every moment. Experiencing life from the lenses of different people and seeing the mistakes they made was educative and informative. There are a lot of lessons about actions and consequences to learn from this book. I liked everything about this book; there was nothing to dislike about it.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I felt like a part of the team. I never felt lost or left out, and I enjoyed reading this book. I had a great reading experience. I know that this is a book I could easily read a few more times. This book was perfectly edited. I found no errors in it.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves adventures and travel. Each location is exotic and filled with fun activities. I believe that the different experiences should appeal to any travel enthusiast.
