Review of Man Mission

In the Man Mission, we see the four best friends traveling around the globe seeking outdoor adventures they considered to be manly, and this gave them a rush and the adrenaline pumping through their veins giving them a release of serotonin and endorphins. Their adventure, however, doesn't help them escape real-life problems because like everyone else they live normal lives: they're married and have children and jobs. Therefore, conflict arises as they have to overcome challenges individually: financial, marriage, and goal-related challenges which aren't part of the Man Mission.

I enjoyed the book because the foursome had very good banter making me laugh in the process, and yet if one was hurt or going through a hard time he would always count on his friends for comfort. My favorite character was Alec as it seemed like he had everything figured out, unlike his friends that rushed things on top of that he's the only one that made sure he was in good shape with six packs and a nice body. The author also gave good characterization to the characters as they all led different lives and handled situations differently and that makes them seem more real than fictional to me.

I found myself gripped in the book and turning the pages as the suspense was exhilarating and kept me curious as I wanted to know how certain matters that unfolded were going to be resolved. There is this part that I couldn't miss which reminded me that some people are selfless and humble that is the scene of the farmer who accommodated strangers in his house while he went away living the house to them. Seriously! And how selfless was that?

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because it was professionally edited. Eytan Uliel's writing style was simple and easy to follow making this novel readable and interesting. The author wasn't biased as he didn't look down on Africa, and therefore, the trips covered every continent in the world including a trip to South Africa as we also have beautiful landmarks in Africa.

This novel would be more appealing to people into outdoor adventures, watersports, and people that love nature. The characters mostly kayak, cycle, and go hiking mountains which makes this novel more of a guide for people who are interested in such sports as they can easily relate to the novel or even be inspired to travel and organize their trips.
