Review of JTs World
[Following is a volunteer review of "JTs World" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
JT attempts to keep himself busy in order to hide his misery from his family when the inauguration of his amusement park, JTs World, ends in a murder. In an effort to boost JT's morale, his family and faithful employees convince him to embark on a lengthy trek in search of cattle for his ranch. It's a harsh reality that violent death is always just around the corner in this harsh world. His devoted staff and a loving family back home are working tirelessly for JT's amusement pack's success. In this exciting journey, you'll go with JT as he tries to find out if he can find happiness despite problems, love, pain, and violence.
This fascinating Western tale, JTs World, by E. Alan Fleischauer, kept me turning the pages. This novel had just the right mix of excitement, danger, and emotional stakes for me to enjoy it. I was hooked from the first few chapters and longed to know more. The book's beginning was really suspenseful, which I appreciated. The dynamic between Aaron and Madeline was instantly appealing to me. It seemed strange that relatives would rather not see each other than see each other gone. Madeline's father, Aaron, murdered her mother and was also planning to kill his daughter. In my opinion, the author did a terrific job of giving Aaron the correct personality of a villain. It appeared that he was a bad guy. Yet I was curious to learn more about him. J.T. Thomas is another interesting protagonist to discuss. A successful businessman, he excelled in his field. He was skilled at keeping the peace while making lucrative business transactions. I admired his intelligence. He was well-liked by his staff and genuinely concerned about their welfare.
This book is utterly intriguing in its own way. To be honest, I would have thought this was the first book in the series. The novel works so effectively as a whole that each plot may be read independently. The author's voice captivated me, and I couldn't get enough of it.
What I liked most about the book was the authors creative writing style. His writing style was so engaging that he was able to divide the book into manageable chunks and smoothly introduce new characters without derailing the story. This was made feasible by the fact that each individual character had a backstory that was connected to that of the others. The perfect blend of all the elements that make up a great Western can be found in this book.
What I disliked about the book was a matter of mild cliché usage; nevertheless, this may have been done on purpose. Also, the author seemed to favor a few terms and overuse them throughout the novel's opening chapters. However, I did not have the same problem with the remainder of the book. Aside from these two spots, I had no major complaints with the book. Despite the fact that the novel begins on a high note, the action tends to die off as it progresses. The novel's focus drifts away from the murder mystery at the amusement park. The story drags on for a while, which made it less thrilling than it otherwise would be.
I am rating this book a perfect 4 out of 4 stars. The accuracy with which each character was portrayed in comparison to their actual lives was impressive. It lent a sense of realism and wonder to the entire narrative.
I am recommending this book to whoever enjoys reading western stories. The presence of gay characters makes me reluctant to suggest this work to homophobic readers, despite the absence of explicit sexual content. Readers who enjoy fiction stories should enjoy this one.
