Go to college, study hard, get a good job, get married and start a family. This is the traditional recipe for a successful and happy life. What would you do when you religiously follow this recipe and still end up cooking up a disaster? Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a story about four friends who decide to create a tradition of going on an epic journey every year. On this journey, they are free to become silly boys again, free from the expectations of their families, work or society. They make it a mission to embark on very challenging activities each time and this births the "Man Mission".

The story is told through the POV of the principal character who is unnamed. He is one of the founding members of the Man Mission Committee. He soon falls in love with Rachel and they start a family together. He accepts a better paying job and all is going well. Some years after, trouble begins to bubble. The Man Missions soon transforms from being just an annual adventure to a space where he can find solace from the harsh reality of life.

I have to commend this book's cover. It is very catchy; It leaves a distinctive impression on the reader. I must say that this book is worth every moment I spent on it. The description, arrangement and narration was top notch. The Author's writing style is simple and captivating; It is of the highest degree. I liked how the protagonists were able to blend in with the different cultures they found themselves. I also liked the quotes and Bible verses at the beginning of every chapter. I particularly appreciated the information I got about every destination. The story was so realistic that I had to check if it was based on a true-life story. The Author has done a great job of keeping the reader hooked.

Being a debut novel, I hold nothing but praise and admiration for Eytan Uliel. I have no complaints about this book. Humor and sadness are expertly blended together by the author. The entire book was enjoyable for me. The book was well-written and also exceptionally edited. I did not discover any error while reading this book.

Man Mission teaches lessons on life, relationship and friendship. So I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I wholeheartedly recommend it to lovers of adventure, comedy and romance.
