JT's World by E. Alan Fleischauer begins with the murder of a woman. This leads to two more deaths, ruining the grand opening of John Thurgood (JT) Thomas's new complex (JT's world). Seeing JT's foul mood as a result of this, one of his employees, Buck, invites him to accompany him to get cattle needed for his ranch from Colorado. This is seconded by his daughter, who feels it is a good idea. The novel then goes on to detail JT's adventurous journey, where he meets various people. The book is action-packed with a bit of romance.

What I loved about the book was, first, its detailed action scenes. These were so detailed that I could easily visualize them. Second, despite the numerous characters and the author's use of multiple points of view, it surprisingly did not ruin the book. Far from it; we got glimpses into the characters' lives and motivations for some of their actions. Third, I loved Alan's unique writing style, which had numerous villains instead of the usual one or two.

Fourth, I loved that women were somewhat empowered in JT's world. I was quite impressed with the portrayal of women, as they were not damsels in distress but stood up for themselves instead of waiting to be rescued. This was seen in the case of Leslie Scarmuzzo and Sadie. Last, Alan incorporated some level of mystery, which I greatly enjoyed.

The only thing I disliked about the book was its romantic scenes. This was due to two factors. One, I didn't quite buy the "love at first sight" scene. It should, however, be noted that I am a self-professed skeptic and do not believe in this notion. Two, I found the character Jessica Tillman especially annoying and unreasonable (particularly in light of the reason behind the whole fight between her and JT). This subsequently ruined what could have been a satisfying romance for me.

The book seems to have been professionally edited. I only found one error, which could easily be ignored and did not affect my enjoyment of the book. I rate this book four out of four stars, bearing in mind that it contained little to no errors. Furthermore, despite the disappointing romantic scenes, the author incorporated well-detailed action scenes and mystery that made up for it.

I would recommend this book to those interested in action-packed books. It would, however, not be suitable for atheists due to its religious themes. It is quite clear that the main lead is a believer, and there are several mentions of God, notions of heaven and hell, as well as reincarnation. The novel would also not be suitable for minors due to the violence, mild sexual content, and profanities used. I would also advise sensitive readers to tread with caution, as some issues discussed in the book may be triggering. The triggers include rape, attempted rape, and paedophilia. The author does not, however, go into the details, and there were no on-page graphic descriptions.
