Our world would be a better place when we realize that men are humans too, with emotions and feelings, and that they are not infallible. Society's stereotype of what men should be is indeed causing more harm than good. It's okay for men not to be okay, not to be able to figure certain issues out, and most importantly, it's okay for men to make mistakes and to be given the chance to learn from them. Man mission by Eytan Uliel tells us about four friends and their annual trips to different parts of the world, including Fiji, Spain, Korea, Thailand, New Zealand, Japan, and many other places where they participated in various outdoor activities.

From what seemed like the Sam in their college days, years later, it became an annual adventure for Sam, Alec, Daniel, and the narrator take a break from their normal lives and just have what they considered fun. For fifteen years, we saw them transition from carefree bachelors to husbands to fathers shouldering a lot of responsibilities and facing the challenge of tackling this overwhelming responsibility. But what started out as fun soon became a place for an escape from reality.

I loved Man Mission for a variety of reasons. Firstly, Uliel's harsh exposure to the reality of some of the struggles men goes through, and other very impactful lessons about friendships and family. Also, I loved the author's detailed description of the places visited, with their maps, and from this description, as someone who loves to travel, I was able to learn about diverse cultures and food and this showed that he carried out a very extensive research.

The writing style and character development of this book are part of the reason I loved reading this book. Each chapter in this book describes each annual adventure, merging the past events of the year before with the present. In addition, what I loved the most about this book are the numerous impactful lessons I learnt. One of them being that no matter the kind of mistakes you have made, there's always a chance to start afresh, stay happy, and move on. I found no errors while reading this book and would like to say that this book was exceptionally well-edited and made understanding it so easy.

There was nothing to dislike about this book. The author's commendable writing style and the lessons I learnt from this book makes it deserving of a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

I'd like to recommend this book to mature readers who love adventure, travel and a slice-of-life genre.
