While touring the food fair held on campus and trying different kinds of exotic food with his newly found friend Sam, Eytan talked about his dream of traveling to various places and trying different things every year. Three years later, Sam and Eytan went on their first trip to New Zealand, and just like that, Man mission was born. Later, their two friends Daniel and Alec joined them.

Man mission became more than an annual ritual for the four friends. It became an escape from the problems and the responsibilities they had in their everyday life, and no matter what was happening the ritual still went on for fifteen years. Each year they experienced something different, discovered new places, and had enthralling adventures.

At first, I thought Man Mission by Eytan Uliel to be about the annual adventures of the four friends, the outdoor activities they chose, and the beautiful places they visited, but the author also got us to see their regular life. We got snaps of their lives back home and what they were going through. We got to see them getting married, adjusting to the changes in their lives, and growing from the experiences. The author did a great job shifting the scenes between their man missions and their life at home.

What I liked most about the book is the characterization, Eytan's point of view showed me how he had grown up from a student at law school having big dreams to a married man who is financially responsible for a family of four, then a middle-aged man with marriage problems. I liked that I also got a snapshot of his friends' lives, I saw how every one of them had his own struggles and the way they faced them.

One of the great things in the book is the humor. I laughed out loud at their funny moments and smiled alot while reading. The interactions between the four friends were beautifully described, they supported each other like brothers and listened to each other without judgment.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars, it is professionally edited and well written with almost no mistakes. There are profanities, but they didn't bother me that much, and a light mention of adult topics so the book isn't suitable for children.

I recommend this book to readers who love to read about adventures. The book is unique in its own way of having more than adventures to enjoy reading about, you can literally feel like you are following Eytan and his friends through their life.
