Review of JTs World
JT’s World by E. Alan Fleischauer is the fifth and final book in the JT Thomas Adventures series. The story follows John Thurgood Thomas (JT) as he travels and solves mysteries. The story starts with a murder scene that shocks everyone. Soon after the incident, JT decides to travel to clear his mind. Along the way, he meets various people and gets into lots of adventures. JT also meets a woman who helps him move on from losing his former love, Annabelle.
JT’s World is a fairly long book. It is 474 pages long and contains 36 chapters in total. The story contains a lot of action scenes that will captivate readers. There are a lot of exciting gunfights and fighting scenes that kept me hooked. The goriness of these scenes might be upsetting to some readers. However, I did not mind them because they were realistic and relevant to what would happen in that period. I also love how well the author explains things in the story. His descriptions make it easy for readers to visualize and track events in the story.
I like that JT’s World is well written and researched. I like that the author paid great attention to detail in getting the historical bits of JT’s World to be as accurate as possible. A good example is the Angelina Baker song that Madeline sings toward the end of the book. I looked it up and was surprised to find out that it exists and that the lyrics were accurate. Another example is when Chip encounters Patrick Garrett in the story. I was fascinated to learn his story since I knew little about the history of the Old West before reading this book.
In conclusion, I will be giving JT’s World an overall rating of 5 out of 5 stars. This book kept me thoroughly entertained. The author added enough plot twists and suspenseful moments that kept me hooked. The editing in JT’s World is superb. I did not come across any errors whatsoever while reading. I also do not have anything to mention that would warrant a negative critique or a star deduction.
JT’s World is perfect for people who enjoy reading westerners. This book is also suitable for readers who enjoy thrillers and mystery novels. As I had mentioned, this is the last book in the JT Thomas Adventures series. However, I think people who like this book can read the others to catch up on JT’s other adventures. I would not recommend JT’s World to readers who dislike historical fiction. This book is also not recommendable for younger readers because it contains mature and graphic content.
