A captivating memoir, Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is the perfect read for when you want to escape the monotony of everyday life. The narrative follows multiple plots. Firstly, there is the central, ongoing action that revolves around the travels of four work colleagues and friends who are over-the-top bored with their desk work and decide to go on adventures over the world. Secondly, the main plot keeps being interrupted by various events from the narrator's life. He talks about his friends, their relationships and his relationship with Rachel, his future wife. In addition to all of this, the narrator describes random events from his past that had an impact on him. The book seems to be an exploration the author makes of himself to get to know himself better. In this process, the reader can also try to find themselves alongside the characters and the author.

The writing style is very modern. The narrator uses words like "vibes"; it is a breath of fresh air for contemporary literature. However, I could not get rid of the feeling that this book is highly masculine, though not in a bad way. The text provides an interesting, fresh, down-to-earth and manly point of view regarding the world and women. The editing is flawless. The action is clearly stated and the unravelling of events is composed in such a way, the reader cannot get bored. It is a vividly written and interesting book about the travels of a group of friends all over the world.

In addition to the realistic description of the events, the author provides the reader with maps of the places visited. I find this very suiting for this kind of work, it helps one imagine things better and trace the journey with accuracy.

I could not find anything wrong with this book. It is a well-put-together biographical novel that feels so warm and personal one has to enjoy it. While reading I constantly found myself imagining everything with high accuracy, aside from, of course, being able to go through emotions with the characters.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars due to all the reasons mentioned above. I warmly recommend the book to anyone looking to read and see the world from a new, modern point of view. The novel incorporates all types of literary themes; from romance to adventure and friendship. Everything is very realistic and straightforward and the male energy dominates the whole work.
