Sebastian was home, relaxing, playing video games, and enjoying the day. It was a rather ordinary day. At least, Sebastian had thought so until he heard two guys arguing about money or such. Sebastian did not want to get involved, and yet he somehow did get involved. The situation escalated, changing Sebastian’s life forever. Why did he insist on getting involved? Was Sebastian just fond of video games or did he have some dark secrets? Will police discover his role in the outcome of that argument? If they do, what will happen to Sebastian? Read Sebastian by Spare Time Novels to find out.

This is a very short read. It is intense, dark, and fanciful. The author does not dwell on details. The story is fast-paced, moving from one event to the next in the span of a paragraph. There is no special attention given to character development, but their flavours are brought out intensely.

What I liked about the book was the author’s clarity. He knew his story and his characters, and he knew he had to keep it extremely short and weirdly entertaining. Wrapping up such an intense story in just 34 pages is quite a skill, and the author has excelled in it.

What I disliked about the book was the amount of sexual content. The sexual encounters were too frequent, meaningless, and a bit cringy. Sensitive readers should not pick this book up. The violence and frequent references to sex and infidelity could be off-putting. I tolerated it because that seemed to be the overall aim of the author- to write a gross story that is dark and entertaining.

The book is professionally edited. There were no grammatical issues that I encountered. There is some amount of profanity. This should be considered as another warning for sensitive readers.

Overall, I believe the author has succeeded in maintaining the entertainment quotient of the book. Although I did not care much for the sexual content, I do not think it should affect the rating of the book because that seemed to be exactly something that the author was going for. I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars.

This is not a book for those who love drawn-out stories or care for scenes and character development. I recommend adult readers pick the book to kill some time, have some nonsensical entertainment waiting in a boring queue or something. As I mentioned earlier, I do not recommend the book to sensitive readers.
