JT’s world by E. Alan Fleischauer is a western fiction book revolving around the life of John Thurgood Thomas also called JT by his friends. After a series of unfortunate incidents such as the deaths of his workers on the day of his grand opening, JT took the advice of his daughter Madeline to follow his men to Colorado to buy cattle for his ranch. This trip was to help him relax after all the stress he went through regarding the opening. He met many people on his way, some of whom became lifetime friends and others he also helped. Some of the adventures landed him in trouble and made him become enemies with some people but with the help of his friends, he managed to escape death every time.

What I liked about the book is that it projects the generosity of J. T in all his adventures I realized he ends up helping a person one way or the other although he does not know them. It is a good attitude that we must emulate. The book illustrates how people lived in the west in the past, almost everyone kept on their guns or a pistol or any tool that can be used for protection since criminals abound in those times. The book also portrays the importance of sheriffs in our society and how the law tries to keep criminals off the streets by using the bounty system that is money is placed on the criminal and whoever brings the criminal collects the money. The book also emphasized the point that anyone can change at any time as in the case of the Gibbon brother who later confessed to his crimes and asked for forgiveness. Also, the book portrays how as humans we crave for love one way or the other and when found, we are willing to risk everything to protect the person we love even if it means dying for them. To add to that, the book contains a lot of adventure to keep you glued to it.

I did not like the book’s use of some words, and some scenes were heinous. It also did not capture J.T. buying the cattle because the author focused more on his adventures leaving the main reason for the journey this was seen when he came back home and he saw that other breeds of cattle were included.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because it was professionally edited and contains no errors.

I recommend this book to people who love adventure, especially western adventures. I also recommend it to people who love reading books on thrillers.
