The Man Mission , written by Eytan Uliel, is a story about four friends united by one promise of taking a vacation every year. The book follows them on this annual journey to exotic places filled with different foods, cultures, and adrenaline-filled adventures. This yearly ritual comes with unique self-made rules that aim to push this brotherhood beyond its comfort zones. Initially, these vacations are nothing but a respite from the everyday grind. However, eventually, they take on a new meaning. They become a source of balance for the four friends to contemplate the other essential factors of life, like work, marriage, and family. The author wittily draws comparisons of their adventures to the ups and downs of life in this modern world.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book as a whole. It is a story made for a variety of people. It is a story about four friends and the many places, foods, cultures, societal dilemmas, and philosophies of life. The author has thoughtfully linked the fun-filled trips to the intricacies of life and provided food for thought. The writing style is powerful and has the ability to transport the reader to the places and scenarios the four friends are experiencing. The fact that the author is a travel enthusiast is evident from the real-time descriptions of all the vacation destinations.

I also appreciated how the author attempted to question certain stereotypical notions. He has contemplated the changing definition of a man in this modern day and age. The author’s remarkable sense of humor comes across wonderfully in the character building. Throughout the book, the protagonist is nameless. This ambiguity has cleverly provided scope for every reader to connect and become the storyteller. It enhances interest, as the reader himself is the protagonist. This book makes you think while making you laugh.

There were no aspects of this book that I disliked. I highly appreciated the manner in which the author has combined satire with thought-provoking sentiments. It is also exceptionally well-edited. For these reasons, I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to mature teens and adults as the book contains some non-borderline profanity and sexual undertones. The book will also be enjoyed by those who like to satisfy their wanderlust while sitting at home. It is also suitable for all those who relish contemplating the philosophies of life from new perspectives. It is a worthwhile and enjoyable read.
