On the Wings of Ideas is a compilation of short stories that end up just right. I absolutely loved this book, for I wasn’t expecting so much excitement in some stories. Reading different genres in one book kept me interested and was definitely not disappointed. I found love stories as well as fictional ones, fantasy ones and stories that kept me hooked and thinking what’s next! The second story in particular was one that I would never have expected the ending and believe me when I say I’m not easily surprised. I usually have a sixth sense to foresee what will happen next, and it threw me off the loop.

Many of the stories had beautiful lessons but the thing that I liked the most was that each one was developed in a smooth rhythm where even though you’d be worried about what would happen next, right around the corner you found out. Endings did not disappoint and some of those I did not see coming. Some stories were shorter than others, but the longer ones needed to be long. They were just right. I have to say that Dahlya’s story was my favorite one. It was a sweet story that called to my heart with a wonderful message, and sometimes a funny approach.

I can’t find any negative aspects in this short stories. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that once I finished reading, I wanted more of them, yet I never got fully attached to a storyline that would stop me from enjoying the next one. There were some stories that got me emotional, so I guess tearing up wasn’t on my to do list. Gabriella Balcom knows how to make you feel what the characters are going through, seeing the world through their eyes.

Would definitely rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. At first, I thought that many stories would probably be too much, but it was so good I ended up wanting more stories. Fully recommend this book! Once you read On the Wings of Ideas, I’m certain you will go back to read some more of those stories, for once wasn’t enough.

I would a hundred percent recommend this book for readers that want a little variety in their reading, as I mentioned before, there are different types of stories in this book. If you’re into sweet romance, fantasy or fiction, a little bit of thrilling plot twists… this is the book for you!
