Man Mission is essentially a diary that documents the adventures of four friends over the course of fifteen years. It looks at the friendships and connections that people make with one another and how, at times, they can be just as vital as the air we breathe. Who we become is shaped by these relationships.

The story opens with the narrator meeting Sam, who would end up becoming one of his closest friends. Both of them bonded over their love of adventure and the desire to visit exotic locations, but it would be another three years before those aspirations would come true. Their first adventure took them to Harper's Pass in New Zealand, after which they made these adventures a regular part of their lives. They called this adventure the "Man Mission," a chance for them to escape the stress of their regular lives, explore nature, and take on challenging tasks to reconnect with their masculine sides. The story shows the development of the four friends as they deal with personal issues as they apply to them while trying to stay afloat in a turbulent world.

I like that the author did not depict the characters as leading ideal lives. Each of them had both strengths and weaknesses, some more obvious than others. These imperfections are what made them so endearing to me. I appreciate the author's ability to convey this story in great detail. Even though the majority of the missions are risky and adventurous, the humor used in the book kept me entertained.

I believe Eytan Uliel to be an excellent writer. He succeeded in giving knowledge while keeping the delivery interesting, which is what I think makes a writer good. He didn't simply concentrate on telling the readers what he thought they should know; he made sure they enjoyed reading it. My favorite thing about these friends is how daring and playful they are with each other.

I can't say there is anything I wish was different about this book. I absolutely loved it. I didn't notice any errors in it, neither a typo nor a grammatical error. It was well-edited. So I believe it deserves the highest rating possible. I would give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I would recommend it to people who have an interest in traveling and also to people in relationships; it contains some interesting insights that would do them good.
