Review of JTs World
Sometimes relationships can be complicated, and love is not always easy to find, especially for a short time. But when you eventually find it again, would you dare to let it go? JT’s World by E. Alan Fleischauer is about John Thurgood Thomas, also known as JT Thomas for short. JT is a theme park owner who finds love again during all his problems, but will he be able to hang on? Will he be able to keep his love this time?
In the prologue, someone is murdered with a bowling pin, and it sets the tone further for a murder mystery theme. This murder would occur on the grand opening day of JT’s theme park, setting the tone for a murder mystery. Other murders will go on to occur, and this series of deaths will force JT to go on vacation and clear his mind of all these deaths. On his trip, he would go on to rescue Chip Heller, a bounty hunter, and together they would begin a journey filled with adventures and lots of drama and action. In the midst of all this, JT would go on to meet Jessica, who would become his new love interest. Although JT has a couple of enemies, that would make Jessica a target for those seeking to get back at him.
I’ve always loved a good romantic story, and the author told a perfect one. But he didn’t just go on to write about romance; the book had other themes interwoven with the romance. When I started reading this book, I thought it was mainly about murder mysteries. I loved the author’s ability to seamlessly infuse the themes of romance, bounty hunting, and western culture into his book without ruining it. I also liked the diction chosen by the author to portray these characters, as well as the distinctive locations used in the book; both features felt so realistic in the typical western world and allowed me to visualize while reading.
The only thing I disliked about this book was that the killings were so sensitive. The words chosen by the author in those scenes were somewhat unnecessary; he gave too many details about the killings, and I got annoyed by them. I found no errors in the book, which indicates that it was exceptionally edited.
I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. Although I clearly stated what I didn’t like about the book, it wasn’t enough to take away one star. The author was able to show his versatility by inculcating several themes in this book, and being able to switch between them back and forth is why this book isn’t just for one audience. I recommend this book to people who enjoy a good romance. I also recommend this book to those who love to revel in murder mysteries and those who love western culture.
