Overcoming Sarah by C.P. Strongman

Post by starwood5000 »

Overcoming Sarah by C.P. Strongman should be a mandatory enlightening book. I admit to some tears. Seeing this family recover from the pain from a suicide was remarkable.

The story begins with the death of Sarah by suicide leaving family and friends in turmoil. She was away at college. Her parents and 2 young brothers were lost along with her boyfriend of a year.

Turns out that the mother agrees to see a great therapist . She begins medication as their lives spiral downhill. Then Sarah's diary is brought home by her roommate.

Sarah is gay and scared to tell her family especially her homophobic grandparents.
She spirals into depression when her gay love leaves her. This presents additional problems.

A lot of great characters and dialogue between them. Many experts had input and credit. A touching tough book well worth the time.
