Man Mission by Eytan Uliel describes the epic journey and adventures of four Australian friends, Sam, Daniel, Alec, and the narrator, from boyhood into manhood. It started as a small talk inspired by boredom between Sam and the nameless protagonist in their university days, and a few years later, it began with a phone call from Sam.

And for the next fifteen years, these men set aside a week each year to travel to different countries, some of which include Thailand, Fiji, Korea, Japan, and South Africa, amongst others. They created a set of rules. The most hilarious of them was the "pink bracelet rule." They also assigned various tasks to each other, met with and listened to different kinds of people, tried new foods, and, most importantly, engaged in risky outdoor activities, usually hiking, riding, kayaking, and cycling. In a decade and a half, the four men share their good and bad moments as they went from trying to figure out their lives to carrying the responsibilities of being husbands and fathers. And soon, their annual vacation or "getaway" became an opportunity to break from family responsibilities and work chores and redefine their purposes.

I loved several aspects of this book, some of which included the author's excellent writing style, which he wrote in first person narrative, and the detailed description of all the events in this book, which allowed me to create beautiful mental pictures. The structure and organisation of Man Mission were excellent, as each chapter described each mission and provided flashbacks of the events after the last mission. The maps drawn before the beginning of each chapter and the quotes from the Bible and contemporary men were other things I loved about the book.

In addition, Man Mission is filled with many moral lessons as Eytan sheds light on society's stereotype of manhood. I realised after reading this book that men need to express themselves and that no matter the mistakes they've made in the past, there's always a chance to start afresh. I also liked that the book was professionally edited, as I found no grammatical errors while reading.

There was nothing to dislike about the book. It contained some profane words and references to mature content which though necessary for the storyline, is unsuitable for a younger audience. And on that note, I'll award this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to mature readers who love adventure and are interested in self-discovery.

Another aspect of the book that stood out to me was the way it tackled issues such as divorce and family dynamics. The characters' struggles in these areas were relatable, and I appreciated the way the author portrayed the different perspectives and emotions involved.

I like how the author made the readers see that there won’t be good days forever. And also, we were able to see the impact of infidelity.

This would actually be fun. I can't wait to read and experience these journeys. The "pink bracelet" piques my interest. I feel it will be funny as you say it would. Good review.

Man Mission is just like a story of what a man's life look like. One this I cherish in this book was relationship building alot of people lack that today. Man Mission was a success because of this.

The cooperation between these friends is what I adore. Even though the narrator sustained an injury while hiking his friend stood with him and made sure he was okay. This proves the great bond they shared
