Review of Man Mission
If you have been looking for an exciting adventure fiction tale that will take you on a journey to some of the most beautiful locations on earth, then look no further than Man Mission by Eytan Uliel. Join four best friends as they embark on a series of "man missions"—yearly trips that involve daring and dangerous activities in different locations around the world. The purpose of these missions is to provide a break from the daily routines of their individual lives and seek out thrilling adventures and build lasting memories.
The first-ever mission was initiated by the protagonist and Sam, and the duo hiked through the Harper's Trail in New Zealand. Although the mission ended with the protagonist injuring his knee, this experience did not deter them. Over the years, two more friends —Alec and another Sam— joined the group, and a tradition was born that would last for over 15 years.
During this time, the friends visited many exotic locations such as Japan, Peru, Spain, South Korea, and others, where they engaged in activities like hiking, kayaking, cycling, and more. At the end of each mission, they would always report on their experiences.
Through the pages of this book, readers will be transported to these incredible locations and experience the thrill of adventure alongside the characters. The first thing that attracted me to this book was the adventure. I'm a fan of adventure and travel, and this book did not let me down. I loved the men's courage to set aside a few weeks in their lives, abandon everything, including family and friends, and explore different places in the world.
Although the story was told from the protagonist's perspective, it gave a detailed account of the other characters' lives and their travels. The present happenings and the past events in the characters' lives were seamlessly woven into the narrative. The descriptions of the missions were spot-on and kept me engaged throughout the book.
The bond of friendship between the characters is very admirable. They are more like brothers, supporting each other and always being there for each other. They faced each up and down with each other and were always there for any of them facing challenges.
The only thing I did not like about this book was the use of profanity. Apart from that, it was flawlessly written and edited.
Overall, I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars because of its captivating plot, exceptional editing, and adventure mixed with action.
I recommend this book to anyone interested in adventure and travel. You'll be immersed in all of their travels.
