This book man mission follows the main character and his buddies as they embark on an annual expedition that they dub the man mission. What started out as a mere pipe dream has now evolved into a full-fledged tradition. The goal of the trip is to do the manliest things they can find and enjoy sampling the different local cuisines from around the world. Readers get to watch the main characters grow up and mature and struggle with the realities of adulthood. We also get to watch them navigate their careers, relationships, marriages, parenthood, aging and et cetera through the years. we join the protagonist and his close friends each year as they set out to make their yearly trip deadlier than the last.

There are so many aspects to love about this book. I particularly enjoyed how the story was told from the main character’s point of view. This had me fully immersed in the story and made me feel like I was right there alongside the characters experiencing everything with them. I also enjoyed the life lessons sprinkled throughout this book. Another aspect that I truly adored and appreciated about this book was how I got to watch the characters confront the consequences and the repercussions of their own actions and then ultimately overcome them. One more thing that made this book exciting to read was how relatable this book was, from the familiar fears the characters experienced, the uncertainty of the future, and everything in between. I could recognize my peers and myself in all the characters.

I think the author Eytan Uliel did a fantastic job as I loved every bit of this book and found no negative aspects or flaws in my honest opinion.

I would give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. This book had me laughing out loud, physically wincing, cringing, yelling at the characters in my head, and just simply smiling all through. I read this book from cover to cover and found it really hard to put it down. This book also left me craving adventure and made me want to put on my hiking boots, get a mountain bike, and travel the world with my closest friends.

I would recommend this book to mature readers who enjoy or are looking for a book filled with adventure, life lessons, humor, and the realities of growing up and maturing.
