Review of Man Mission
Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a captivating book that recounts the thrilling adventures of four friends who embark on an annual expedition to explore different parts of the world. The book is a compelling read that takes the reader on a journey through the picturesque landscapes of various countries, providing an insight into the unique cultures and traditions of different regions.
The book's opening chapter sets the tone for an exciting and exhilarating journey as the author and his friend Sam hike through Harper's Pass in New Zealand. This adventure sets the stage for a series of yearly trips that take the reader through exotic locations such as Japan, Thailand, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, and South Korea. Each chapter provides a vivid description of the breathtaking scenery and the activities undertaken by the friends in each country. From hiking, biking, and trekking to indulging in local delicacies, the author and his friends are constantly pushing themselves out of their comfort zones and experiencing new challenges.
As the author narrates their experiences, he also delves into his personal life and that of his friends, including their families’ dynamics, career aspirations, and other everyday issues. This added layer of depth to the book because it provides a better understanding of the four men and their unique personalities. Through their conversations, the reader can see how their friendship has grown and evolved over the years, and how they support and encourage each other through their ups and downs. This is one of the things I like about the book because it didn’t just entertain me, it also taught me some important virtues with regards to friendship, family, and marriage.
Another aspect of the book that I like is the author's writing style, which is both humorous and engaging. The use of first-person narrative makes it easy to follow the author's thought process. The witty banter between the characters adds to the book's appeal. The author's candid writing style also adds an authenticity that is often lacking in books of this genre. I also have to commend the editing done on this book. The editing was superb. Thus, I am rating it 5 out of 5 stars.
I recommend it to adults who love adventure and appreciate the value of friendship, family and love. I limit it to adults because the high level of profanity may not be suitable for all readers. The author's vivid descriptions, engaging writing style, and underlying themes of the book make it a must-read for adults who want to experience an exciting and inspiring journey.
