I honestly connected with Gil and many scholars out here who are doing their best yet still their efforts seem useless. I'm glad at the end it all paid up.

Your commentary on the relatability of the book was spot on. It's always refreshing to read about characters that we can identify with on some level. I appreciate that you highlighted the importance of compassion and not judging people based on their circumstances.

I enjoy books that really try to tackle mental health problems with understanding. The theme sounds quite interesting. The cover is really eye catching.

No judgment and dedication, are the key words of this book; no body has the right to judge other people based on their look, job, or words; in a few seconds interaction or intersection; and the dedication showed to complete his thesis is a life learning empowerment.

When reading the review, I can't help but think of the imposter syndrome - many smart educated people feeling like they are not good enough. It indeed is ok to sometimes not have it together. The reference to the dry humour of the main character Gil is an element that appeals to me, and I am going to add this book now to my reading list.

The field Gil studied on street sex workers is something confidential, but it's interesting to many readers. It seems his character is likable, and I wonder if his feelings of brokenness and resentment will be replaced with positive feelings in the end. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

I couldn't agree more with your review! "The Melancholy Strumpet Master" by Zeb Beck is a truly special book that resonates on a personal level. Gil Crowell's journey is a reminder that life's twists and turns can lead to unexpected and meaningful paths. His empathy and the author's emphasis on understanding without judgment are heartwarming. I also appreciated the flawless editing and the book's overall thought-provoking nature. It's comforting to know that it's okay not to have everything figured out, and I'm glad this book highlights that. Thanks for the recommendation – I'll definitely give it a read!

This is indeed a different subject for a doctoral thesis, but it's also, in my opinion, a good one. Having the idea at such a young age and keeping it see.s to indicate that it was very important to him. Congratulations on BOTD!

Gil has so much zeal, his research work as much as his financial expectation sets her into so much frustrations. You have really analysed his character and enjurance in a very appropriate and simple way as well as mental torture that people undergo after not gaining their expectations in life.Nice job.
