Sorcha is the seventh child of Lord Colum of Sevenwaters. Colum lost his wife when she gave birth to Sorcha. With six older brothers to watch over her Sorcha runs wild as a young child. Each of her brothers have unique gifts and talents. One becomes a druid, one can see into the future, etc. Sorcha grows up to be a great healer.
This takes place in Ireland, and their family is at war with the Britons.
However, everything changes when Lord Colum brings home a young and beautiful wife. Things begin to happen around the household that put all children ill at ease. The new wife puts an enchantment on the 6 brothers, Sorcha is lucky to escape. The story shows her struggle as she is taken by a Briton family and has to find a way to break the enchantment and set her brothers free.
