Are you a lover of adventure? Do you value male friendships? Man Mission: 4 men, 15 years, 1 epic journey by Eytan Uliel is a book focusing on adventure and friendships. It speaks about four men who had not met before but became friends in law school. The four are Eytan, Alec, Sam, and Daniel. Sam and Eytan had met when Eytan was looking for someone to accompany him to the food fair on campus. They spoke, and they realized that they shared common interests. They decided to move around the world, exploring different places every year. They go hiking, kayaking, cycling, and trekking.

In the course of their adventure, they become dads and husbands. This brings something new about having to balance family, career, and friendships. Did they manage to do this? How did they work? Did they make time for their families? The author includes the storms his family went through. He also mentions his ambitions and how he worked to ensure financial stability for his family. The book is interesting.

I like the way the author wrote the book from the first-person point of view. It made the story more real. He has also organized it in such a way that each chapter speaks about a different location in their adventures. The journeys are arranged in order. The author was able to bring in stories about their families, blending them appropriately with other stories. His writing style was top-notch. He also included maps to help the readers picture the events and places they were visiting.

What I disliked about the book is that the author was not able to bring out the female characters in the most efficient way. He did not include their views about life and their decisions, especially Rachel's. It must have been tough for her to raise the kids while Eytan was busy cycling. However, this does not affect my rating of the book. I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars because of its excellent editing. I found no errors or typos in it.

I recommend this book to lovers of adventure. Those doubting male friendships and how they work will also benefit from this book. The four friends in the book were able to encourage themselves when one was in trouble or facing a storm. Those who want to understand that we may sometimes have to sacrifice to save our families should read this book. I recommend it to a mature audience because of the profanity in it.
