As a man, it is often expected of you to wear a mask, put on a smile, and act as if everything is alright, even when that's not the case. The main character in this book is no exception to this "rule." He had to navigate friendship, career changes, a lack of fulfillment, marriage, fatherhood, joblessness, infidelity, divorce, and depression all on his own. Although I'm not a man, as someone who feels compelled to hide their true emotions, I know firsthand how unbearable and frustrating it can be. More than anything, this book has given me clarity that it's okay to cry, it's okay not to be okay, it's okay to seek help and therapy, it's okay to confide in someone, and most importantly, it's okay to not have everything under control because, most of the time, you're not alone.

This book tells the story of a wonderful friendship between four men who embark on yearly trips focused on engaging in activities considered "manly." These trips, known as "Man Missions," take place in various countries and involve a range of activities such as hiking, kayaking, and mountain climbing. The remarkable aspect of this book is the detailed description of these "man missions." While reading, it feels as if I'm accompanying them on their journeys. This emphasizes the fact that reading can transport us to different places, even when we're physically confined. I was particularly impressed with the quotes that open each chapter and the summary of the man's mission that concludes each chapter. These features make the book stand out from others.

Another commendable aspect of the book is how the writer seamlessly tells stories from both the past and present within the same chapter without confusing the reader. Additionally, the book is infused with humor, making it even more enjoyable. The choice of vocabulary is excellent, adding to the overall interest of the story. It's evident that the book was well edited, as I encountered no errors while reading, further enhancing my enjoyment.

Although the book contains a lot of unnecessary profanities, I still believe it's a great book, and I would rate it 5 out of 5 because it's both entertaining and educational.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who values friendship, as it demonstrates the importance of friends and offers insights on how to strengthen those bonds. It's also a valuable read for anyone who is married, in a relationship, or has experienced divorce. If you've made mistakes in life and feel undeserving of a second chance, this book is worth reading. Most importantly, if you're male, this book is especially relevant to you.
