Review of Man Mission
Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is an adventurous novel describing fifteen adventures in fifteen years, each done annually. Sam came up with the idea of going on an annual trip each year and suggested it should be a boys' trip. They used to talk about it when they were in university, so it was time to implement it. The four men: Sam, Alec, Daniel, and the narrator, started their adventure at Harper's Pass, New Zealand, but Alec and Daniel didn't attend since they were recovering from drinking the night before. After Daniel and Alec joined them, they made rules for the adventures. The person who whined the loudest wore a pink bracelet. They went on adventures in places such as Tokyo, Japan; Yasawa Islands, Fiji; East Coast, Taiwan; and Machu Picchu, Peru.
The book was great, and people who like adventures would fall in love with it. The author's presentation of adventures was great. He describes the flaws they experienced and the joy they had, for instance, the narrator's injury in New Zealand. He describes the adventures in a way that engages the readers to feel in the adventures. Each adventure had a map before it started. The maps enabled the readers to have a picture of the place of adventure since they showed different adventure places. The author wanted readers to remember the places of adventure and the unique details of it. In doing so, he made a summary of each adventure at the end of the chapter. It showed the place, transport, accommodation, injuries sustained, and distance covered. It helped in reflection, but people can easily forget.
I didn't find something to dislike in the book. I enjoyed the lives of the four men and their adventures; hence, nothing to dislike.
I rate Man Mission by Eytan Uliel five out of five stars. It was professionally edited because it had an error. The adventure descriptions were admirable. It made the reader feel the urge of going on adventures. He made them enjoyable by using maps to create awareness of the place of adventure and using suspense, for instance, Sam and the narrator's adventure in New Zealand. The summary helped in reflection since it had all the important details of the adventure. Even with the error, I couldn't deduct a star because the other aspects were great.
I recommend the book to lovers of adventures. It contains fifteen adventures in different places worldwide. They would enjoy them since each has interesting moments.
