In Man Mission: Four Men, Fifteen Years and One Epic Journey, Eytan Uliel narrates a story that exemplifies male friendship and love. This book is divided into three sections as Eytan takes us on an adventurous journey spanning 15 years.

Birthed from a mere university dream of touring the world and going on adventures across countries and cultures, Sam reaches out to his long-time friend and informs him over the phone that a trip has been planned. We follow the narrator and his friends, Sam, Alec, and Daniel, to different places amidst several experiences on a yearly adventure ride for 15 years. These trips, however interesting and fun, also brought with them some challenges and turbulence across their separate lives.

What I found most intriguing in this book was the manner in which the author told the story. Through the eyes of the narrator, I followed these men through different countries. The author was very detailed, and I must commend this about the book. Skillfully, this author took me down memory lane and showed me things from the past about each character. I found this particularly impressive because it threw more light on the present day. I also loved the commitment the friends had toward their annual trips. I am considering having my own Man Mission with my friends. I like how the author emphasised the need for friendship in the story.

Although enjoyable, there were a few things I did not really enjoy about this book. I noticed an alarming use of vulgarity and profanity. This was an issue because some of the times it was used, I did not think it was a necessary part of the conversation. For instance, when his Kayak was capsizing, he used curse words; I felt it was a bit unnecessary. Also, I noticed that the EPUB file I downloaded has formatting issues. This made reading a bit difficult because I had to scroll through blank spaces before getting to the next page.

Since this book was exceptionally well edited, I am delighted to rate it five out of five stars. Justifiably, this was an engaging read, and the author took us through the good and bad times.

I would be more than happy to recommend this book any day to lovers of adventure books. I would also recommend this book to lovers of autobiographies.
