Review of Man Mission
Man Mission is the tale of four buddies who go on extraordinary global excursions. The main character and his longtime pals, Sam, Alec, and Daniel, embark on these exploits as a way to show off their manliness and as an escape from the realities of everyday life. It has become a tradition for them over the past fifteen years. They visit locations worldwide, including New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, South Africa, and South Korea. They participate in activities like kayaking, hiking, riding, and other sports to push themselves to the maximum. The difficulties they face in their marriages, careers, families, and internal struggles change as they age and change with each excursion. Will this damage their friendship? Discover more by reading this captivating tale.
The narrative is told from the perspective of the main character. He struggled to win over everyone while simultaneously trying to satisfy the hole he felt inside. I could identify with his suffering from having everything—an admirable profession, a loving wife, children, and friends—yet remaining miserable and searching for his male identity. The narrative examines the idea of a man in society.
It's impressive how creatively the author weaved the tale to make it appear to be occurring in front of my eyes. In my mind, I was moving about with them. Thanks to the extensive descriptions of the locations they visited, I had the impression that I was already there. I appreciate their perseverance throughout their expeditions, even if they suffer an accident or have a negative experience. Each character is developed distinctively through Eytan Uliel's writing. All the characters, notably the protagonist, evoked sympathy in me. Also, this book by Eytan Uliel enlightens readers on the requirements for being a man in modern society, which many people are unaware of.
Nothing in this book bothered me. I also adore Sam, the main character, and Daniel and Alec's friendship. They encourage one another and have a sincere love for one another. The comedy in the book was enjoyable. One of the things that made me laugh out loud while reading this book is that whenever these men want to go on an adventure, they first get approval from their wives. I shared in their grief, suffering, and struggle.
The book was nicely edited. I discovered a few errors while reading the book. In my opinion, both older readers and young adults should read this book. This narrative would be appealing to those who adore traveling. Because it is a novel full of life lessons about marriage, friendship, children, profession, and the world of men, I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.
