McDowell is a fictional book that narrates the story of Hiram McDowell, a popular surgeon who was also a skilled mountain climber. The book was written by William H. Coles. This book comes with different emotions and suspenseful moments as events begin to unfold.

Hiram McDowell married three wives but was still unfaithful to his third wife, Carole, whom he married after the death of Sophie, his second wife. Carole, being a widow, has two children, Tracy and Candace. Hiram’s aspirations began when he wanted to become president of the board of the College of Surgeons. But this seemed unachievable without the help of his colleague, Michael O'Leary, so he had to promise him that he would make him the president of the health task force. However, Hiram failed to fulfill his promise, and this led to a rivalry between them. Michael, who was looking for a way to get back at Hiram, alleged that Hiram was guilty of scientific malpractice in the lab. Will Hiram be able to come out of this? Pick up a copy of the book to find out.

This is an interesting story with different plot twists, and I must say I had an amazing experience while reading the book. I love a lot of things about the book, but I would start with the writing style of the author. I love how the book was written and how the story flowed from the beginning to the end. The characters were superbly developed and perfectly expressed. I love the fact that Hiram realized his mistakes and also made efforts to amend them. Hiram was greedy and dishonest, and this was what affected him. I’ve learned from the story of Hiram. This book taught me that being honest and sincere in all you do gives you the best legacy. I had a hard time predicting what would happen in the next scene, so the suspense in the book was well worth it.

There was nothing wrong with the book, but I did note a few events that occurred in the book that serve as a moral lesson for all. I felt sad that Hiram didn’t look after his family, and this was why his children lacked proper parenting because if he had, Billie wouldn’t have impregnated Tracy, his stepsister. This teaches us that proper parenting is important. We also saw the negative effects of being dishonest and greedy.

I’m rating this book five out of five stars. I gave it a perfect rating because of the positive aspects of the book. There were no errors in the book because it was exceptionally well edited. I recommend the book to fans of fiction because it would best pique their interest.
