Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a story told from the main character's point of view that details his life and that of his three friends Sam, Ben, and Alex. The novel starts when he meets Sam in law school and progresses to when they decide it would be a pretty grand thing to go on grand adventures annually. Three years later, they implement it, naming it man mission. Over time Alec and Benjamin join and man mission becomes an annual event. The story details not just the spectacular adventures this quartet embarks on but also elucidates how their lives develop in the fifteen years that Man Mission lasts. We see them transition from bachelors to married men, from youths to middle-aged men and we experience with them, the joys, sorrows, and many challenges that they undergo in an intriguing story.

There are so many things to love about this book. The first striking thing is how good the plot is. It's not just some goofy adventure novel detailing a group of friends going on trips. It also details the life of all four told by the main character. The novel elucidates the adventures but simultaneously shares the chronological details of the lives of the four friends with the greatest emphasis on the main character. The relatability of the novel is perhaps its biggest strength, with the themes so relatable to what is obtained in real life. One of the themes addresses the fact that as a guy, it's okay to be vulnerable the main character undergoes a whole personal journey to arrive here. As shown by his and Rachel's marriage, not all can be reconciled, sometimes the damages dealt are too great. Also one can relate to the characters as we understand what drives them and understand their actions. The characters are also brilliantly developed. Here we see four macho men who with time in their lives understand that sometimes one may have to seek help and not just bottle it up like society has seemingly made it. Due to how relatable the characters and storylines are, as well as the author's writing prowess, the novel is extremely immersive. One can feel the emotions of the characters, feeling and understanding their pain almost like it is yours. Another thing to love about the book is how lovely the adventures are. Each man mission is a unique and fun-filled affair, involving exercises that end up being fulfilling with the characters having a lot of fun along the way. Finally, the editing of the book is quite marvelous, with no errors or typos, great praise must go to the editing team for that.

I have no criticism of the book. The book meshes a lovely plot and brilliant character development with an intriguing story that is extremely relatable and has no grammatical errors. One can't ask for much more than that.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. With no grammatical errors and some top-notch writing and character, the writer creates an absorbing and compelling story. On reading this novel, one would understand just how much depth it has and that perhaps we all need our version of Man Mission, an escape from the rigors of life to a place where we can regroup and recharge while having fun and lovely adventures.

I recommend this to everyone that loves adventure novels, romance lovers are also welcome to try it as I'm certain they would enjoy it. In general, anyone who enjoys a good read should try this book.
