Review of Man Mission
Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a book about four Australian men who are determined to explore the world. They embrace adventures, which they allude to as Man Mission. In these undertakings, they do exercises like climbing, cycling, kayaking, and, surprisingly, African safaris, in nations like New Zealand, Japan, Spain, Fiji, Thailand, South Korea, South Africa, Taiwan, Peru, and Iceland. They get going as young men in their twenties; however, as the years advance, they find their ages advancing as well, making them middle-aged men with families and every one of the hustles of life that accompany them. They carry on with an ordinary life with highs and lows, attempting to find themselves. Will that occur? Let's find that out in this book.
What I like about the book is the humor portrayed by the author. Phrases like 'soup that tasted like fish vomit', page 344, sound extremely hilarious. Readers will see much of it in this book. I additionally like the descriptive details of events in their adventures and the manner in which the author is taking something and describing it in the most simple way, like the manner in which he portrays the tour guide Marco, page 355. Likewise, the manner in which he depicts his daughter, page 333, just to mention but a few.
The main thing I disliked about the book was the high degree of profanity.
To sum it all up, this book is simply interesting. One that many readers can relate to. The author has managed to bring out life, its challenges, and its good times, along with the lessons we can learn from them. I did not find any mistakes in the book, so the book was well formatted, thus I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the above reasons.
I recommend this book to young married couples, both men and women. The women will understand the men’s world better and give them answers to the many questions they have about them. Men, on the other hand, will identify with their fellow men and understand the storms that arise in them as a result of what is expected of them by society as loving husbands, reliable fathers, good sons, and responsible citizens as well.
