Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a novel centered on friendship and adventure. It is the story of four friends who make a pact to go on a week-long trip to different locations every year. During their journeys, they have fun, reflect on their lives, and share their problems with one another.

The protagonist, Sam, Alec, and Daniel, were all friends during their days in college. The protagonist told Sam about his dream to travel to different places every year. A few years later, he received a call from Sam, and they embarked on the first "Man Mission." Alec and Daniel subsequently joined them, and this became an annual adventure for fifteen years. On these trips, they had fun, bonded, sampled different cuisines, and encountered different setbacks while sharing their life stories with the readers.

I loved reading about the different adventures the four friends embarked on. They were quite entertaining. Although the trips had dangerous moments, it was evident that they had fun. I really enjoyed reading about the various cultures and meals they encountered in the numerous far-off places they visited. It was quite thrilling. I imagined myself traveling there beside them. They visited different places like Peru, South Africa, New Zealand, Japan, and Iceland.

We learned from this book that no man is an island. It also emphasized the value of strong and wholesome relationships, such as the friendship the protagonist had with Sam, Alec, and Daniel. Each of the men in this book dealt with distinct problems related to their finances, health, and marriage, yet they were able to rely on one another. Another thing I loved about this book was that it showed the different problems men face in our society today. Society makes men believe that they must always appear strong and not show emotions, but that is not true. They are allowed to show their feelings, as they are human beings as well.

The author did a fantastic job. I had no trouble understanding his writing, and I had a clear mental picture of the locations because of how well he depicted them. He also skillfully injected humor into their adventures. It was flawlessly edited, as I encountered no errors. The author's use of maps for each new location at the start of each chapter was another wonderful touch. We saw the characters develop as they grew from young men to family men with businesses. For all these reasons, I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. My only dislike was that the name of the protagonist was not mentioned, but that does not affect my rating. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy books about adventure.

Definitely, when four friends embark on different journeys at different points of their lives, the bonding will increase. I am looking forward to reading up on the adventures in this book.

Several friends and I made a similar agreement while we were in college. However, once we graduated new jobs, new husbands, and new children (life) got in the way. I have often wondered what would have happened if we’d have gone through with it.
