IslanD-25 by Alan Doer takes place in a future society where two systems exist: the Earth System and the Crystal System. The Earth System is familiar, based on profit maximisation, economic classes, and individual self-interest. In contrast, the Crystal System is a new society founded on inner development and peace, where time is treated as currency. Alex resides in the Crystal System on an island called D-25. The story begins with Alex going through a breakup with his girlfriend, Marina, which leads him into introspection. With the support of his friends, he embarks on a journey of personal growth. He focuses on his music and education while having meaningful conversations with his father, Dario, who played a role in building Crystal and organising the migration of people from Earth.

This is a captivating book that delves into the evolution of love, partnership, and friendship while exploring the depths of human emotions. It revolves mainly around personal exploration and the mysteries of life. The writing style of the novel is elegant and easy to comprehend, making it accessible even to those who don't know this world. The science sections in the book are straightforward and concise, allowing the reader to grasp the concepts without difficulty.

There is nothing that I didn't like in this book. The beginning may be a bit overbearing, but it is definitely worth it. I didn't find any errors. The book is exceptionally edited.

I found myself fully immersed in the world, even without knowing it previously. Alex's journey and the diverse challenges he encountered are fun and intriguing. The book mainly emphasizes that personal growth, the pursuit of love, and understanding the mysteries of life are individual responsibilities that cannot be guaranteed solely by the environment. The scientific aspects of the book are not overly complex, and the writing is enjoyable.
For all these reasons, I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Readers of science fiction are going to have an absolutely wonderful time with the book. I think the book is more suited to mature audiences, given some of the sexual themes in the book. Anyone seeking a book with amazing world-building, fun characters, great obstacles with big lessons, and amazing fantasy should read this book.
