They started out as four young men going on an annual adventure, doing the most inconvenient things like hiking, jogging, walking long distances, ice climbing, sleeping in the most inconvenient places, and sustaining injuries, but at the end of 15 years, a lot has changed for them individually and collectively. It was a time set aside by the men to escape from their regular routine, a time where they can behave like boys without having to report to their partners, a time of freedom and relaxation, a time to test the strength of men individually, a time to share their pains, to focus on themselves, and to enjoy the pleasure of not having to worry.

Man Mission by Eytan Uliel is a book that tells the story of four friends over the course of 15 years;their adventures, their families, their jobs, their pains, their wins, their losses, and their regrets. It is a narrative of how life was lived from the narrator's point of view. This story was told from a man's point of view. Their annual adventure, Man Mission, was just a part of the story told, but it contained the moment where the men were actually themselves without fear or judgment. A time where men could cry, laugh, scream, play, and enjoy themselves without being cautious.

Living in a world where men had to provide and protect for their families while concealing their feelings, a time where a fulfilled man is measured by how much he does for others even if he is unhappy, the narrator in this book explains how a lot could change for a man in 15 years, from being a loving boyfriend who was excited about being a husband and father to being a divorcee living alone away from his children.

I love this book because I learned that sometimes it's okay to take a break and shift the focus from others to oneself. It's not selfishness; you can't just give your best to anything if you are not at your best. I love how every trip was documented; I love the map at the beginning of each mission; I love the catalog at the end of each mission; and I love the author's writing style.

This book contains profanity and sexual content, so I won't recommend it for minors, but it was properly edited because I didn't notice any errors. I must say that this book kept me on the edge from the first page to the last page. I saw myself traveling with the character in the book, meeting new people, trying out different delicacies, and crying and laughing with them.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the reasons stated above. I would recommend this book to an adult who loves adventure and wants to know a man's point of view on life issues.
