Eller and Ronnie, two best friends, are sexually assaulted by three teenagers. During this horrific incident, Eller finds out Ronnie is actually transgender. Her parents, Winter and Joel, support her in this terrifying moment and make sure criminals are punished. As the story progresses, we learn how Eller is a clone of her mother, Winter. With determination to make sure the world is safe for every gender, she joins the Breast and Beard organisation to advocate for transgender rights. At the end of the book, we learn how Winter is kidnapped by one of the culprits parents to release their son from jail. Will Winter be safe and go back to her loving Blanchard family? Will Eller be successful in advocating rights? To know more, grab this book, "I am Eller," by DeNeece Butler.

"I am Eller" by DeNeece Butler is a non-fiction novel revolving around Eller and her loving family Blanchard. The author beautifully portrays the family bond in this book. I loved how Winter and Joel, who were remarried and had kids from previous marriages, loved all the kids equally and raised them with affection.

I found the author's writing skills exceptional, highlighting sensitive topics like rape, murder, sex marriages, and kidnapping with care and without hurting anyone's sentiments. Butler did a great job weaving Eller's friendship with Ronnie, her finding love in Frank, and the Blandchards handling their family issues with compassion perfectly. The powerful portrayal of the family's unwavering love and solidarity is a central theme of the book. It showcases the importance of familial bonds in times of crisis and highlights the love and understanding that can prevail even in the face of life's darkest moments.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. I rate this book five out of five stars for exceptional editing and grammatically perfect writing.

In short, "I Am Eller" by DeNeece Butler is a testament to the incredible strength that can be found within familial relationships and the power of love to conquer even the most challenging circumstances. It is a must-read for those seeking a story of hope, resilience, and the enduring strength of family ties, making it an emotionally enriching and thought-provoking experience.
