Savers of the Soul by Richard Slayton

Post by jkunning »

I just read "Savers of the Soul" by Richard Slayton. The author was a teacher of mine so I am a little biased. However, it is a wonderful story about the degradation of rural life. It could have been edited better, but I believe Richard Slayton is a fine writer with a brilliant future if he finds the right editor. Read it, you will not be disappointed.

I just looked at the description of Savers of the Soul on Amazon. It seems like an interesting book.

Maybe I'll check if it's at my local library. It's only 88 pages. I like reading shorter books because it does not require as much of a time commitment. I'd hate to waste weeks reading a very long book only to find out it is mediocre or worse.

[By the way, I edited the title of this thread to include the title of the book as specified in the new forum rules for this section.]

Thanks,
Scott
